为了应对世界和人类社会面临的日趋复杂的重大挑战，香港科技大学（广州）采用全新的、融合学科的学术架构，以“枢纽”（Hub）和“学域”（Thrust）取代传统学科学术架构的“学院”和“学系”，推动学科交叉融合，同时大力发展新兴学科和前沿学科。这在全球高等教育界是一项创举。 

香港科技大学（广州）下设功能枢纽（Function Hub）、 信息枢纽（Information Hub）、系统枢纽（Systems Hub）、社会枢纽 （Society Hub），下设15个硕博士专业。学校首批开设人工智能、数据科学与大数据技术、智能制造工程等三个本科专业，于2023年开始招生。 

 

为实现“学术界与工业界顶尖人才及未来领袖”的培养目标，香港科技大学（广州）（简称“港科大（广州）”）未来技术学院红鸟硕士基地开创性实施了全日制研究型硕士项目——“红鸟硕士项目”（即“红鸟硕士班”），以践行学科融合的“枢纽理念”，探索创新人才培养模式。红鸟硕士班突破了传统硕士生招生的专业划分模式，不设置学科和专业分界线，所涉及的学科和专业涵盖了港科大（广州）的四大枢纽及其学域。学生可综合个人兴趣、教育背景和未来职业规划等，在经过入学后的前6个月自主学术探索后，确定自己的研究方向与合作团队，并通过双向选择，确定自己的学术导师。学术导师来自各个枢纽及学域，而学术导师所在的学域即为该学生注册的专业归属。红鸟硕士班始终坚持以学生为中心，通过团队项目引导的教学模式，让学生与各枢纽及学域学术导师、项目导师和业界导师一起合作，共同完成学科融合的团队项目和教学任务。

 

Undergraduate:

All applicants with international qualifications are expected to graduate from high school and be able to fulfil the General Admissions Requirements, School/Program-specific Requirements, and English Language Requirements.

 

General Requirements:

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) : Completion of UEC (Senior Middle Level), with passes in at least six subjects;Overall average of B3 or above

Note: Applicants are expected to have passed seven or more subjects in the SPM or UEC (Junior Middle Level) exam.

STPM: Completion of STPM with passes in at least three subjects, other than language subjects; Overall average of B+ or above

Career paths in China after graduation: 

International students, who intend to innovate and start business in Guangdong province after graduation or completion of study, may apply for residence permits for personal matters with a validity period of no more than 2 years (noted as entrepreneurship) with Certificate of Graduation. During the period, those who are employed by relevant units shall apply for work type residence permit in accordance with related regulations. Outstanding international students who obtained bachelor's degree or above in key university of China, may apply for residence permit for personal matters with a validity period of 3-5 years (noted as entrepreneurship)

  HKUST(GZ) offers academic scholarships to top International students. Scholarships are awarded to students from diverse backgrounds based on their academic achievement as well as their non-academic accomplishments. No separate application is required.

  Student with achievement in academic and non-academic  areas will be considered for this scholarship. Separate application is required.
