"Belt and Road" Scholarship International undergraduate students are required to provide high school full course transcripts, and meet one of the following conditions

• Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) : The selected subjects are related to the applied major, and the total score of the five subjects shall not exceed 16 points. 

• SAT: Lowest points of New SATI  is 1300 points out of 1600.

• ACT: Total score is 25 points (including) above.

• IB: Received IB Diploma. The related courses should be the professional applied. Provide at least three HL courses with a total score of 32 or more.

Language Proficiency Certificate

"Belt and Road" Scholarship International undergraduate students and international students (undergraduate) Self-funding students are required to meet one of the following conditions:

• Applicants should hold an HSK (Level V) certificate (with 180 points or above). Those who apply for a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language should obtain an HSK (Level IV) certificate (with 180 points or above). 

• Applicants who have completed their last degree with Chinese as the language of instruction can submit proof issued by their former school for SYSU’s verification. After verification, the applicants can be exempted from providing HSK certificates.

• Malaysian Chinese Independent Secondary School Diploma (HSK score certificate is exempted).

Tuition: Students who have received various scholarship programs are exempt from tuition fees. After enrollment, applicants of the scholarship should pass the scholarship review of their performance according to regulations before they can continue to apply for or receive funding of the scholarship.

Applicants who have met the application requirements can apply directly to the dispatching department of their home country, the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in the host country according to the program type. Application Requirements (Including grades requirements): 

Outstanding high school graduates recommended by designated organizations of ten ASEAN countries including: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam. Have a letter of recommendation and relevant materials issued by the designated organization in the student's home country. Fresh graduates can first submit the pre-graduation certificate issued by the current school. Those who do not submit the master's degree certificate before enrollment will have no admission qualification.
