1. Disciplinary Features:  NWU has 24 schools and departments, 1 Chinese-foreign cooperative school and graduate school, 88 undergraduate programs, 32 of which have been selected as national first-class undergraduate program construction site. The university now has 24 primary disciplines authorized for doctoral degree, 36 primary disciplines authorized for master's degree, and 17 professional degree categories. There are 1   state-level key primary disciplines (covering 5 sub-disciplines), 4  state-level key sub-disciplines and 1 national key (cultivation) discipline, plus 24 post-doctoral research centers. The university now has 7 national experimental teaching demonstration centers, 1 national virtual simulation experimental teaching center, 7 national talent training bases and 1 national college students cultural quality education base.  
2. International Exchanges: NWU always gives priority to its international exchange and cooperation. Now it has established cooperative relations with more than 120 institutions of higher learning and research in more than 30 foreign countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan, as well as regions such as Hong Kong and Taiwan. The Encyclopedia Britannica once listed Northwest University as one of the world's famous universities.

Others: Northwest University Museum, a large comprehensive university museum based on Northwest University, is located in Taibai Campus, with four branches of School History, Earth, Biology and History.

Eligibility of Malaysian students  

Malaysian students who apply for our undergraduate program will be selected on the basis of their results in the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC), the STPM or the SPM.  

Those who have received 12 years of Chinese education in primary and secondary schools and have obtained the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) can enjoy the waiver of the HSK.  

Holders of STPM and A-level certificates are required to obtain HSK Level 4 certificate (180 points or above), and attach relevant results while apply.
