Introduction to University
Nanjing University of the Arts is a century-old school with a long history and rich heritage. It is the earliest independent institution of higher art education that was founded in China and continues to this day. It is also a university jointly built by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Jiangsu Provincial Government, and is also part of the Jiangsu High-level University Construction Peak Plan Program. The history of the university can be traced back to 1912 when Mr. Liu Haisu, the pioneer of China's new art movement and the founder of modern art education, founded the Shanghai Institute of Graphic Arts (renamed Shanghai Fine Arts School in 1930).
The Nanjing University of the Arts has 14 secondary schools, 43 undergraduate majors, a total of more than 12,000 students, more than 1,150 faculty members: among whom more than 760 are full-time teachers, more than 330 are full-time teachers with senior titles, more than 60 are doctoral supervisors, more than 200 are master's supervisors, and more than 100 are visiting professors and part-time professors at home and abroad. In the 2022 Chinese University "Soft Science Ranking", eight A+ majors of Nanjing University of the Arts are listed. The number of A+ majors is ranked third among Non-Double First-Class universities, first among comprehensive art colleges in China, third among art colleges in China, and sixth among universities in Jiangsu.

Application Requirements: Students can apply for the scholarship with their academic performance, awards, and practical activities in the previous year and we will recommend them on the basis of merit.
Scholarship Coverage: It is established for academic students who are in their second year or above in our university, and the funding is CNY 18,000 per person for undergraduate students, CNY 30,000 per person for postgraduate students, and CNY 30,000 per person for doctoral students. The funding period is one year.

Application Requirements: After being admitted, new students can apply directly to the office of the School of International Education. Students can apply for the scholarship with their academic performance, awards, and practical activities in the previous year and we will recommend them on the basis of merit.
Scholarship Coverage: The scholarship is available to international undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students, and students for professional training (more than one year). It is funded at the rate of CNY 10,000 per undergraduate student, CNY 20,000 per postgraduate student, CNY 20,000 per doctoral student and CNY 5,000 per professional training student. The funding period is one year.
