
Introduction to University
Founded in 2000, Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) has rapidly developed into the largest multi-disciplinary university in Macao with over 16,000 students studying at the University. M.U.S.T. endeavors to educate students specialized in various fields, attaches equal importance to teaching and research, highlights quality of programs, pursues excellence, and has continuously reached new heights in academic development. The University operates the one and only offshore Chinese university-based State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicines; the University also operates State Key Laboratory of Lunar and Planetary Sciences and the first and only laboratory set up by a Nobel Laureate in Macao, Dr Erwin Neher for his Biophysical Laboratory for Chinese Medicine; the University also operates more than ten prominent scientific institutes and research centers. |

The University is ranked among the top 300 universities of the world in “World University Rankings 2020 - 2022” of the Times Higher Education; the University is also ranked as No.32 in “Asia University Rankings 2021” and No.32 in “Young University Rankings 2021”, all rankings are ranked first in Macao; The University is ranked 17th in “2020 Shanghai Ranking Top Universities in Greater China” and has been ranked first in Macao for the sixth successive year. MUST owns State Key Laboratories, Ministry of Education Key Research Institutes (Partner Base), first Nobel Prize Winner Laboratory in Macao and so on.
Requirements for general courses:
Applicants who are Form 6 or equivalent graduates and meet with the following requirements:
1. Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
Obtained Grade C or above in at least 6 subjects;
2. Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM)
Obtained Grade C or above in at least 3 subjects;
3. Obtained Grade E or above in the following subjects of GCE:
3 advanced level (A level) subjects; or
2 advanced level (A level) subjects and 2 advanced supplementary (AS level) subjects;
Requirements for MBBS course:
1. Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
Grade A in English Language
Grade B in Mathematics and Chemistry
Grade C or above in the other three subjects
2. Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM)
Grade A in English Language
Grade B in Mathematics and Chemistry
3. Obtained the following results in GCE:
Grade A or above in 2 advanced level (A level) subjects; or
Grade B or above in 3 advanced level (A level) subjects and 2 advanced supplementary (AS level) subjects.
Grade B in Chemistry (A level).
Remarks:
1. Applicants who apply for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor in Acting must attend the Program-specific Interview.
2. Applicants who apply for Bachelor of Art in Art Design must sit for the Art Examination. (exempt if public exam result provided includes Art).
3. Applicants who apply for Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Pharmacy and Food and Nutrition Sciences and Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery must take Chemistry course in high school or have equivalent qualification.
Applicants without the qualifications listed above can also apply for Direct Admission if they have the qualification of Form 6 (or equivalent) graduate or above. The University will make assessment and admission decision by interview and the documents submitted.

Tuition Fee: HKD 110,000~125,000 (approx. RM 59,000–67,100)
Tuition Fee for MBBS program: HKD210,000 (approx. RM112,800)
Meal Plan: approx. HKD38,000 (approx. RM20,400) (including dormitory fee, 100 sets of meal, water and electricity fee, internet fee, laundry fee, etc.)
Living expenses: on the students’ own expense, approx. HKD 30,000 per academic year (approx. RM 16,000)

Malaysian Applicants who have outstanding academic performance & public examinations will be given scholarship.
Distinguished Scholarship: Scholarship covers the entire cost of tuition and accommodation. Living allowance will be allocated
Full scholarship: Covers 100% of tuition fee
Half Scholarship: Covers 50% of tuition fee
Applicants do not need to apply for the scholarship, the University will announce the admission result alongside with the status of scholarship grant.
