Introduction to University
Established in 1947, Hong Kong Chu Hai College is one of the oldest private institutions in Hong Kong. It has been serving Hong Kong and its neighbouring regions for more than 70 years, with over 20,000 graduates who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of education, culture, engineering, technology and business. The name of the College is “Chu Hai”, in addition to being located on the coast of the Pearl River near the South China Sea, and expects the students to be like the crystal brilliance of the "Pearl" and the vastness and depth of the "Sea".
With the excellence of 4-year tertiary education system in Hong Kong, the College was registered under the Hong Kong Post-secondary Colleges Ordinance and approved by the Chief Executive in Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to award degree programmes recognized by the government.
The College expects its students not only to excel in their professions but also possess virtues and a broad a knowledge base along with confidence to cope with our ever-challenging world.
The campus is located at the beautiful site of Tuen Mun East Castle Peak Bay. The College is located next to the beach in a serene environment where staff and students enjoy a pleasant and inspiring teaching and learning context. The campus is designed by renowned Hong Kong architect Dr. Rocco S.K. Yim and was awarded the 2017 HKIA "Inland Building Award". In addition to classrooms and lecture halls, the campus also has facilities for individual programs, such as a cross-media video production room, an architecture studio, a civil engineering laboratory, a language laboratory and a computer lab. The campus also has a gymnasium, a cafeteria, a coffee corner, and staff and student residences, providing an ideal environment for learning, teaching and research. The College is now moving towards its goal of being upgraded to a private university.

*New Campus
The College has been in full operation since September 1, 2016 at its new campus located at the scenic Tuen Mun Gold Coast. The new campus was designed by renowned Hong Kong architect Dr. Rocco S.K. Yim and was awarded the 2017 HKIA "Inland Building Award".
*Globalization
Hong Kong Chu Hai College actively builds international cooperation networks and platforms for high-level exchanges and collaboration, helping students to become competent talents adapted to the development of globalization. At present, Hong Kong Chu Hai College has established cooperative and exchange relationships with nearly 30 higher education institutions around the world, and there are also renowned institutions that provide students of Hong Kong Chu Hai College with the benefits of further studies. The College has signed cooperation agreements with more than 30 overseas institutions including Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Korea and Thailand.

Features:
The College is a comprehensive higher education institution offering quality degree programs, generous scholarship programs, and excellent accommodation. The College provides a complete education to its students by adopting small class teaching, emphasizing on internships and conducting extensive overseas exchange activities. The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Faculty of Business offer 14 undergraduate and 12 postgraduate programmes. Our undergraduate programmes are four years in duration; all 12 programs are taught in English, except for Chinese Literature and Creation in Chinese Literacy Arts, which are taught in Chinese.

To apply for the scholarship:
3.1 One Full Scholarship: 5 subjects including Chinese, English, Mathematics [Advanced Mathematics / Advanced Mathematics (I) / Advanced Mathematics (II) or two other related subjects] with a total of not more than 15 points.
3.2 Two Full-tuition Scholarship: 5 subjects including Chinese, English, Mathematics [Advanced Mathematics / Advanced Mathematics (I) / Advanced Mathematics (II) or two other related subjects] with a total of not more than 20 points.
3.3 Three Half-tuition Scholarship: 5 subjects including Chinese, English, Mathematics [Advanced Mathematics / Advanced Mathematics (I) / Advanced Mathematics (II) or two other related subjects] with a total of not more than 22points.

Hong Kong Chu Hai College uses English as the medium of instruction in the classroom and applicants must have obtained B4 or above in English.

Full Scholarship (one candidate): Full exemption of tuition and accommodation fees.

Way to Apply:
1. Application briefs and forms can be downloaded directly from the website.
2. Applicants must first apply for enrollment at the Hong Kong Chu Hai College. For details, please visit https://www.chuhai.edu.hk/overseas-candidates
3. Applicants must complete the "Application for Scholarships" (with a recent 5 cm half-body photo attached) and submit the following application documents.
4. The application form must be completed, photographed, and submitted to the Association in 5 sets of 5 sequentially bound copies, together with 4 copies of the attached documents (e.g., letter of recommendation from the principal of the school, autobiography (if any), and the certificate of the UEC).
5. Submit one copy of each of the following documents:
5.1 Document 1: High school diploma;
5.2 Document 2: Report on the academic results of the last three years of high school;
5.3 Document 3: Certificates, awards and diplomas of the last three years of high school (e.g. SPM).
A photocopy of each of the above documents must be signed by the principal of the original school in order to be valid.
6 Scholarship applicants are required to pay the following fees:
6.1 Handling fee of RM 50 by cheque or postal order (Wang Pos) payable to:
"United Chinese School Committees' Association of Malaysia".
6.2 Payment of enrollment fee of HK$500, payable to the Hong Kong Chu Hai College.
The application fee of HK$500 can be paid by Bank Draft Payment and mailed to the Admissions Office.
Please make the bank draft payable to "Hong Kong Chu Hai College" and write down your application number, name and contact telephone number at the back of the bank draft for identification.
7. If you are applying for admission on a self-financing basis, please contact the Hong Kong Chu Hai College for assistance in the admission procedures.
