Achievements：

In 1953, the university was founded and became the first petroleum university in China;

Note：

Those who fail to meet the undergraduate admission criteria can apply for admission to the preparatory course (liberal arts and science classes).

Preparatory class A (Arts and Science): one year. Upon the expiration of the study period, after passing the completion examination and meeting the completion standard, the preparatory completion certificate of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) will be issued. With qualified results in all subjects and good moral character, he was promoted to bachelor's degree or related major of China University of Petroleum (Beijing).

Preparatory class B (Arts and Science): one year. Upon the expiration of the study period, you can be promoted to undergraduate through the following three ways:

1. According to the general evaluation results and conduct evaluation of the academic year, about 20% of those with excellent character and learning can be exempted from the entrance examination and recommended to the undergraduate related majors of China University of Petroleum (Beijing).
2. Those who pass the general evaluation of each subject in the academic year, but fail to be escorted, and have not received disciplinary sanctions, can participate in the direct promotion examination of preparatory class A. if they pass the results of each subject, they can be directly promoted to the undergraduate related majors of China University of petroleum.
3. Those who fail to be escorted or promoted can participate in the joint recruitment of the two universities and the whole country in that year.

Main courses:

Liberal arts: Chinese, English, Mathematics, History, Geography.

Science: Chinese, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

Master major: Undergraduate diploma and degree Certificate, average score above 70%

Doctoral major: Master's diploma and degree certificate, average score above 70%

 

3. Proof of language proficiency

Chinese taught programs of bachelor:

Those who have received 12 years of Chinese education in primary and secondary schools and obtained the UEC can be exempted from HSK; If you hold an STPM diploma and apply for a major taught in Chinese, please provide HSK transcript. You need to obtain a certificate of HSK level 4 (222 points) or above, and attach the relevant results. Applicants who have no basic knowledge of Chinese or fail to meet the requirements of HSK 4 can apply for Chinese tutoring, and can apply for scholarships during tutoring.

Chinese taught programs of master and doctoral: HSK 5 (180 or above)

English taught programs of bachelor: IELTS≧6.0 or TOEFL≧75 points or more for non-native speakers of English. A certificate which can prove you have been taught in English for the during your previous study for more than two years in the place of IELTS or TOEFL.

English taught programs of master and doctoral: IELTS≧6.5 or TOEFL≧80 points or more for non native speakers of English. A certificate which can prove you have been taught in English for your previous study for more than two years in the place of IELTS or TOEFL.

 

4. Age requirements

Applicants must be under the age of 25 when applying Undergraduate Programs;

Applicants must be under the age of 35 when applying Master Programs;

Applicants must be under the age of 40 when applying Ph.D. Programs.

Tuition ( Including one-year insurance premium ):

1. Bsc Program: 25000 RMB/YEAR(Chinese-taught programs), 25000 RMB/YEAR (English-taught programs)
