Introduction to University

北京中医药大学始建于1956年，是国务院批准最早创办的高等中医药院校，现为教育部直属全国重点大学，由教育部、国家卫健委、国家中医药管理局和北京市共建。学校1960年入选全国重点高校，1996年入选"211工程"，2011年入选"985工程优势学科创新平台"，2017年、2022年连续入选国家"双一流"建设高校，中医学、中西医结合、中药学3个学科为"双一流"建设学科。学校秉承"勤求博采、厚德济生"校训，现有良乡、和平街、望京3个校区，教职工6369人，全日制在校生21393人。设有16个本科招生专业，拥有中医学、中药学、中西医结合3个博士后科研流动站，3个一级学科博士学位授权点、7个一级学科硕士学位授权点，2个一级学科国家重点学科、48个国家中医药管理局重点学科。学校现有4家在京直属附属医院、30个临床教学基地，已为170个国家和地区培养中医药专门人才3万余名。

Founded in 1956, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine is one of the earliest higher education institutions of traditional Chinese medicine approved by the State Council. It is now a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the National Health Commission, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Beijing Municipal Government. The university was selected as a national key university in 1960, included in the "211 Project" in 1996, designated as part of the "985 Project Innovation Platform for Superior Disciplines" in 2011, and consecutively recognized as a national "Double First-Class" university in 2017 and 2022. Three disciplines—Traditional Chinese Medicine, Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, and Chinese Materia Medica—have been designated as "Double First-Class" disciplines. Guided by the motto of "Seeking Knowledge Diligently, Embracing Broad Learning, Cultivating Virtue, and Benefiting Humanity," the university currently operates three campuses located in Liangxiang, Hepingjie, and Wangjing. It has a faculty and staff of 6,369 and a full-time student enrollment of 21,393. The university offers 16 undergraduate programs and hosts three postdoctoral research stations in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Materia Medica, and Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. It is authorized to confer doctoral degrees in three first-level disciplines and master's degrees in seven first-level disciplines. Additionally, it boasts two national key first-level disciplines and 48 key disciplines recognized by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The university currently operates four directly affiliated hospitals in Beijing and 30 clinical teaching bases. It has trained over 30,000 specialized professionals in traditional Chinese medicine for more than 170 countries and regions.

Prep Conditions: 我校的自费预科班没有针对入学的要求。但是对于汉语水平不达标的高中毕业生或SPM毕业生（两年高中），通过预科班学习1年达到入学语言门槛（HSK-4级）则达到我校的本科申请标准。而对于英制的O-level或IGCSE（初中水平），即使通过预科学习后汉语水平合格，依然无法达到我校入学标准（要求高中水平），因此读完预科班也不能直接申请本科，必须要通过A-level考试。
