Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai, established in 2001, is located in the “Golden Inner Bay” of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, at the most forefront of the metropolitan area on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary, and in the core innovation zone of Zhuhai National High-tech Zone, adjacent to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and directly linked to Hong Kong and Macao. It covers an area of approximately 824 acres, with a built-up area of over 700,000 square meters. It boasts 329.5 acres of primordial forest, 49.4 acres of lake wetland, with ancient lychee trees providing shade, egrets gracefully flying, and picturesque scenery. Some programs can be studied either in Beijing Campus or Zhuhai campus.
Although science and engineering remain its core focus, BIT fosters balanced growth across other disciplines, including management and the humanities, with many of its programs consistently ranking in China’s top 10.
